Event Navigation

Snow way, it’s been six years since the UK last saw a white Christmas. Snow has fallen somewhere in the UK on Christmas Day 38 times in the last 54 years. With the latest odds for a white Christmas in London being 13/2, Merchant Square, Paddington, have decided to take things into their own hands. From Friday 2 December to Sunday 4 December 15 cubic metres of real snow will fall in Merchant Square. As well as real falling snow there will also be a snowman building competition and snowball targets.
Lockhouse London will also be there to warm you up with hot buttered apple juice and red currant lemonades with fresh mint & icing sugar for the kids and hot buttered rum and snow ball cocktails for the adults. They will be opening officially in Merchant Square on the 14th of December so it’s a chance to sample their festive delights before everyone else!
The amazing Clifton Nurseries will also be running a pop-up shop for all your Christmas decoration needs! There will be wreath making and plenty of beautiful baubles.
Refuel at Merchant Square’s canal-side restaurants with mulled cider from KuPP, snowball doughballs from Pizza Express and chocolate peanut pizza served with raspberries and crème fraiche from Heist.
Just like the chestnuts roasting on an open fire, kisses under the mistletoe and leftover turkey sandwiches, snow brings that extra magic to the festive period. FREE to join and fun for all ages Merchant Square’s snow feature will be open from 10am – 6pm on 2 – 4 December. Nearest tube stations: Edgware Road and Paddington.
